Artists' Web Sites

When Heather designs a web site for an artist, she tries her very best to have the site's graphic design reflect and support the artist's work. She listens to the artist and uses her programming abilities to create the artist's vision in a web page format. More and more of the artist sites that she designs are programmed so that the artists can update them themselves with an easy content management interface. Rez Williams The graphic design of Rez William's website is done by Alley Moore. Heather programmed the design with a custom content management system so that Rez can upload his paintings and update the text on his site. Autumn Hill Artworks Gail of autumnhillartworks.com wanted to transition her site from a craft gallery to a photography site. Debra Gaines Heather initially programmed a site for Debra in 2006 based on Debra's graphic design with a custom content management system so that Debra could add her photographs and categories of photographs on the fly and sell them online. In 2009, Debra did a redesign of her website graphics and Heather reprogrammed the site, enhancing the CMS as well. Seastone Papers The primary objective for the redesign of seastonepapers.com was to put in a content management system, so that Sandy Bernat can keep the site current and add new content to it. She also wanted to add new elements to the site, for example a Seastone Kids section, a section for teachers and a section to sell her paper art on-line. Barney Zeitz We renovated Barney's site design with the dynamic project content management interface, giving Barney the ability to create categories of work and upload that work himself, thus keeping the site current. Art & Sol for the Home Martha's Vineyard Artist Jenik K. Munafo creates a wide range of whimsical hand made accessories and art for your home from custom built lamps to ceramic vessels and paintings. The site is designed so that she can showcase and sell all of her work on-line. Jenik manages all of the content herself through an easy browser interface. She is able to add new products or change information on the fly. hokeswork.com Hoke had a friend who put up a wonderful graphic design for him, without any content, and it sat for months and months without change. Hoke hired Heather to retain the graphic design and put in a content management system, so that he could add work to the site and edit the site himself. Now the site is brimming with samples of his work. Check it out!
