Web Sites for Non Profits, Campaigns and Fundraising Organizations

Heather has created the following sites for non profit organizations, campaigns and fundraising organizations. On the Against the Tide site she created an interface where registrants log in and then create their own personal pledge pages that they can e-mail to friends. On the Christinetoddforselectman.com she created a site where Christine could post her positions and views and where people could contact her about questions and concerns.

Youth Task Force The graphic design of the mvyouthtaskforce.org site is done by Kathleen Forsythe. Heather programmed the site with a custom content management system so that the staff at the YTF can add pages, video, and photographs on the fly. It also has an interactive quiz section and a safe home pledge area with user authentication so that parents can network. BravEncore The website was designed by Kathleen Forsythe of forsythedesign.com. Heather programmed the site with a custom content management system that allows the Martha's Vineyard High School drama club to manage all of their text and images, creating new pages on the fly and uploading photos and video. Vineyard Playhouse The redesign of the Vineyard Playhouse website was done with a customized wordpress blog platform using the thesis theme. We also integrated slideshowpro.net. The staff at the playhouse can now easily add new content and update every aspect of the website. Sheriff's Meadow Foundation The graphic design of this website was done by Kathleen of forsythedesign.com. Kathleen created an amazing graphic design for them, she outdid herself - with great ideas on scrolling, pop up galleries and more. Heather's job was to program Kathleen's graphic designs so that they worked as web pages, functioning exactly as Kathleen envisioned, and create a content management system so that the Martha's Vineyard Film Festival staff can update the site's content. Bob Fynbo Bob Fynbo has decided to run for selectman in Edgartown, MA and asked goffgrafix to put together a site for him. Friends of Oak Bluffs, Inc. Friends of Oak Bluffs needed a website to give information about their past and current projects and opportunities for donations. It is an e-commerce site that sells tickets to the event. With their interface, they can generate up to 4 levels of pages with images. They also have an interface for managing links to other sites, and for frequently asked questions. This site has a lot of great, educational information about Shellfish and the work that the Martha's Vineyard Shellfish Group is doing. Edgartown Free Public Library The Edgartown Library requested a site where they could update all of the content and add pages of content on the fly. We also added a photo gallery for their Library Art Collection. Christine Todd for Selectman The committee to elect Christine Todd for Selectman hired me to put together a site with a content management interface for her campaign. They wanted a straight forward site that would be easy to navigate where she could add pages on the fly and where people can contact her through e-mail forms. I also did the photography for the site which was lots of fun. They use it to post articles and alerts, their latest newsletters, and to sell tickets to sponsored events. The site is built with Heather's intuitive-websites.com tool box, allowing the staff at MBCC to build their site - adding pages and modifying the navigation and drop down menus, and updating their home page content through an easy browser interface. Against The Tide The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition has an annual fundraising event "Against the Tide". This year I converted the ATT site to be database driven, with a browser interface so that the staff can update all the content on the site. I also created the ability for event participants, when they register, to create a username and password and then be able to log into a participant area of the site. In this area they can create personal pledge pages and email those pages to multiple friends and family to solicit on-line pledges. They can then track their sponsors and update their pledge information as the event approaches. New Oak Bluffs Library Project The New Oak Bluffs Library project has a database back-end where the organizers can add events and "chapters" to a blog. It also has a web cam where viewers have been able to watch the progress of the construction.
